Monthly memberships are the core of most studios, and lenders like income that repeats. Be ready to show active member counts, how many members you lose each month and how billing runs through your payment processor. Class packs, personal training and retail are usually treated as less predictable.
If members pay for annual or multi-month passes up front, the cash arrives before the service is delivered. A lender may treat part of that cash as owed to members, so keep a clear record of prepaid balances.
Studios usually carry a long lease and a large up-front build-out and equipment cost. Lenders will look at how many years remain on the lease, what the build-out cost and whether equipment is owned or financed.
January is often the strongest month and summer the weakest. Showing a full year of deposits helps a lender see that a slow summer is a pattern and not a decline.
Which option fits depends on your history, your customers and how quickly you need funds. Each lender sets its own requirements and makes its own credit decision.

It varies by lender, amount and term. Short-term working capital is usually more expensive than a bank loan, so we show you the total repayment in dollars for each option before you decide.
Timing depends on the lender, how quickly you send a complete file and approval. Smaller requests can move faster than larger ones. Timing is never guaranteed.
Lenders commonly ask for recent business bank statements, owner identification and a void cheque. Larger requests may need financial statements, receivables aging and CRA balances. Each lender sets its own requirements.
